The Great I Am!

Image
How great is He!  Today I have felt so much blessing from                 the Lord.  Despite the disappointing news of the Antioch  Discipleship School not being held this fall, I feel amazing!  I really felt that I needed to continue to move forward today and let the future take care of itself.  So I asked a wonderful lady, Bonnie, to basically mentor me this summer on the Bible and her own life experiences.  She was honored and that made my day!  I can't wait to start!  My passion is for  needy  children and some day I would like to open a Non  profit organization.  I received more clarity on this dream this morning and I am very excited.  I am not sure how I am going to come about raising funds yet but I know all the proceeds will be going to children!  Which was probably predictable but I want it to go to any child all of over the world that may need food, clothes, school funds/supplies, medical needs and even money to children being adopted, which wo

I Am Second!

http://www.iamsecond.com/ I love this site!  It is filled with so many personal testimonies of God touching different people's lives!  God truly works miracles in life and all you have to do is except the wonderful gift He has presented to you.  It's free, just take it!  You will be glad you did! I am second and God is first!

The Next Step...

After arriving back home jet lag was extremely difficult but I felt like I had much more clarity on what it is God wants me to do!  I was contacted by a lady from my Bible study group about her brother's church in Norman, Oklahoma.  It had a discipleship school called Equip which I felt was the next step and quickly got in touch with her brother and sent in my application!  However I received a call from him yesterday saying that they decided not to have Equip this year and focus on making it better.  Completely understandable but it has left me lost on what to do now. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.  Romans 8:24-25 I am someone who always wants to have a plan...maybe it's time to be patient and give God my control!

Burkina Faso!

What an amazing experience!  It was unbelievably hot and difficult culture to jump into but the people are so incredible that everything negative doesn't even compare.  I met wonderful people of all ages that I can not wait to go back.  Here are some boys that my Mom and I met.  They were playing a game of soccer and couldn't wait to get their picture taken! This is one of the Orphanage Nurses that took care of me while I was sick.  She is an incredible person and is great at what she does! This is me and the beautiful Astride!  She is the most amazing little girl that got adopted while we were there to a wonderful Italian family.  I hope to visit her again some day if her parents are willing. She touched my heart! And this is Grace!  She is the little mommy of the bunch and not to mention adorable!  She was suppose to go home to a uncle but if no communication is made after a year she will be available for adopt

I know God has great plans for my life and I hope others can be touched through my experiences!  I entered into college my freshman year as most people expect of a high school graduate.  It was all very typical up until the beginning of my second semester.  After a lot of talk from my mom about doing missions I really felt God put a calling on my heart to visit an orphanage in Africa.  After visiting with my mission pastor I felt like I needed to drop out of college and pursue this calling.  My mom and I went from  not even having passports the end of January to being at Sheltering Wings Orphanage in Burkina Faso the end of March.  All a miracle from God!
